Gidroaviasalon '2000
147 aviation companies and institutions from Russia, and 30 foreign companies from 26 countries: Ukraine, Latvia, Germany, Canada, USA, Czech Republic, Iraq, France, Great Britain, India, New Zealand, Poland, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan etc. participated in the Gidroaviasalon '2000. This fact shows the popularity of Gidroaviasalon events. More than 200 journalists were among participants. Over 65 000 visitors attended the Exhibition during 5 days.
In all 145 representatives of 26 companies from the USA, Kanada,Japon, Korea, Irak, New Zeland, India, took part in the Scientific Conference. 73 scientific reports were given.
There were demonstrated 24 aircraft at outer aircraft static display. At the coastal ramp of the flight test base of the Beriev Aircraft Company there was static display of hydroplanes, where such famous amphibians as A-40 "Albatross" and Be-12P-200, new multipurpose amphibious aircraft Be-200, light multipurpose amphibian Be-103 and light hydroplanes Che-22 "Korvet" and Che-25M, and light amphibian L-6 were located. Besides on the static exposition there were exhibited the floated moto-hange-glider MD-20, cutters and boats.
There was also the static exposition in the airport where the commuter airliner IL-114, multipurpose aircraft Su-29KS and Yak-18T, light multipurpose aircraft IL-103, ship-based fighters Su-27P, Su-30KN and Su-33 and a lot of helicopters including light multipurpose Mi-34, transport helicopter Mi-8, transport-mission helicopter Mi-8AMTSH, search & rescue helicopter Mi-14PS, transport helicopter Mi-26T and search & rescue helicopter Ka-27PS and transport Ka-32A were demonstrated.
There was wide and enthralling sight during show due to program of demonstration flights, which had advantages respect to the programs of other international events as there were the flights of maritime aviation, takeoff from and landing on water at Gelendzik bay, water entry and shore approach, firefighting by amphibians with landing on water for scooping as well as firefighting and rescue operations with participation of helicopters.
During 5 days of exhibition there was performed over 100 flights, with over 10 flight hours duration.
